The deadline is extended till 15th October 2004.

1./ The contest is organised for photographic works in digital form. The competition is open for all photographers from all around the World.
The contest has 2 sections:
A: YOUTH
B: FREE.

2./ Every author can participate with 4 digital files in each section. The largest side of the image should not exceed 4500 pixels and the shortest side, on the other hand, should not be less than 1024 pixels (the size varies from 1024x1024 pix up to 4500x4500 pix).
For the opening ceremony purposes as well as for successive YouthPhoto exhibitions promotion purposes, the rewarded and accepted photos will be enlarged to the poster size (20x30 – 30x40 cm). It is therefore recommended, that the resolution of the files sent is as big as possible.
Files can be sent on a CD or can be sent via the form on the following webpage.

3./ Every author must send the signed application form (the photocopy of the entry form is also allowed) by post. The address is as follows:

4./ There is no entry fee.

5./ Prizewinning works and accepted works will be developed on paper and displayed on exhibition. This exhibition will then be also displayed in some other towns.

6./ Every participant receives a printed catalogue of the exhibition.

7./ Sent CDs will not be returned to authors.

8./ Organiser is entitled to use the accepted works in the presentation media for this exhibition and is entitled to enlarge the files for the exhibition purposes for no financial contribution. Persons, appearing on images, cannot lay any claims.

9./ Every participant is responsible for copyrights of his/her works.

10./ Organiser of the competition has the rights to eliminate the works, which are not in accordance to the rules of the competition, break copyrights or are controversial in any other way.

11./ For each of the sections gold, silver and bronze FIAP medals and five ribbons of merity will be granted. The special YouthPhoto 2004 award of the salon will be granted to the best author who is not older than 27 years (date of birth in 1976 or later). The organiser can also grant other awards. Only one award in the same section can be awarded to the same author.

12./ The rules of the contest are valid for every participant of this contest. The decision of the jury is final. By sending the photos and the entry form the sender accepts all the rules of the contest.

- 27th October 2004 – notification of results sending
- 9th November 2004 – opening of the exhibition
